Private South Coast Adventure and Viking Story Night

Private South Coast Adventure and Viking Story Night

The Viking Story Night at Efri-Úlfsstaðir is unlike anything else on the South Coast. A candlelit saga barn, a local storyteller, Icelandic horses, and a tasting of shark, dried fish, and smoked lamb. Not a show. A gathering on a working farm that sits on the land of Brennu-Njáls Saga.

Starts at noon. No early alarm, no rushed breakfast, no pre-dawn departure. The South Coast in the afternoon light, the Viking farm in the evening dark.

Gljúfrabúi – the hidden waterfall most South Coast tours miss. Inside a narrow gorge, a few minutes from Seljalandsfoss. Most visitors walk straight past it.

Walk behind Seljalandsfoss. One of the rare places in the world where a path leads directly behind the falling curtain of water.

Entirely private. Your guide and vehicle belong to your group alone for the full day and evening. No shared passengers, no fixed pace.

Private sedan for 1-3 or private minivan for 4-8. Right-sized vehicle, exclusively yours from noon until return.

However, the area has recently been heavily affected by severe storms and powerful wave activity, which has made access to the beach itself increasingly dangerous.nnBecause of the unpredictable and extremely strong u201csneaker waves,u201d it is not always safe to approach the shoreline. For safety reasons, we do not bring guests directly onto the beach when conditions are risky. Instead, we will stop at a safe viewpoint in the area to admire the dramatic coastline and see the Reynisdrangar sea stacks from a distance while keeping a comfortable and safe distance from the ocean.
