Nazca: Mirador Nasca Lines – Unveiling the Geoglyphs

   The excursion begins with pick-up at your respective hotels.nnThen we will head north towards the Nazca desert, following the Pan-American highway. We will visit the Sitio Maru00eda Museum, an interesting place where we will learn about the life of Dr. Maru00eda Reiche, a lady of German origin who dedicated more than 50 years of her life to the protection and study of the lines. This place housed Maru00eda Reiche for a period of more than 20 years, and finally in 1994 it was transformed into a site museum.nnThere you can see the life of Maru00eda Reiche through beautiful photos taken when she worked in the Nazca desert many years ago. The old cabin that was her study center can still be seen today, along with all her belongings, such as cameras. photographs, measuring instruments, among others. On one side of the museum you can see the tomb of Maru00eda Reiche, where she was buried in 1998.

   Then we will continue to the metal tower of the Nazca Lines known as the Mirador, from where we can clearly see 2 of the famous Nazca figures, the hands, the tree, and part of the lizard that is cut by the Pan-American Highway. Our guide will explain to us about the theories of the Nazca Lines.nnFinally we will head towards a natural viewpoint known as the Hill, an interesting place where many straight lines converge. Here we can walk a little and appreciate the beauty of the famous Nazca desert.nnAt the end of the excursion, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
