Glaciers carved its sweeping valleys and polished its granite faces over the ages, leaving behind icons like El Capitan, one of the largest granite monoliths on Earth, and the unmistakable crown of Half Dome. Water is everywhere in the warmer months, from the long plunge of Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America, to the misty ribbon of Bridal Veil Falls.
