Rainbow Springs Wildlife Guided Eco and Snorkel Tour
Overview
What sets us apart is simple: local knowledge you can’t fake. As a born-and-raised Florida guide, I know these springs the way only a local can — While big tour boats stick to crowded main channels, we take you to the quiet spots where wildlife actually shows up. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, or a large group celebrating together, every tour is personal — I adjust the pace, route, and focus to what you want to see and do. Add in crystal-clear kayaks, snorkeling in 72-degree spring water, and a guide who genuinely loves sharing this place, and you get more than a tour — you get a real Florida experience most visitors never find. Come see the springs the way they’re meant to be seen.

Rainbow Springs is Florida's fourth-largest spring system, pumping out roughly 400-600 million gallons of crystal-clear water every day. Unlike most Florida springs, there's no single boil here u2014 the water rises from dozens of vents scattered along the headwaters, giving the river its famously even, glass-like clarity. People have been drawn to this water for over 10,000 years, and in the mid-1900s it was one of Florida's classic roadside attractions, complete with glass-bottom boats and man-made waterfalls you can still see in the park today. Now a state park, it protects the headwaters of the Rainbow River, a designated aquatic preserve. Keep your eyes out for turtles, otters, anhingas, and dozens of fish species thriving in the 72-degree water that stays the same temperature year-round.

ndian Creek is one of the Rainbow River's best-kept secrets u2014 a shallow, crystal-clear side creek where you can step out of your kayak and actually get in the water. Wade or snorkel your way upstream beneath a shaded canopy of cypress and live oak, where sunlight filters through the trees and dances across the white sand bottom. The creek winds back toward Gissy Spring, one of the many vents that feed this spring-fed river system. The water here is shallow, gentle, and the same refreshing 72 degrees year-round, making it a perfect spot to cool off, spot fish and freshwater life up close, and experience the river the way Florida's earliest inhabitants did. Take your time u2014 this is the kind of place that rewards slowing down.
