Glide along the St. Johns River, spot native wildlife, and enjoy a peaceful day on the water surrounded by the beauty of Old Florida.nnYour tandem kayak rental is a great way to experience the areau2019s incredible birding opportunities, with possible sightings of herons, egrets, ospreys, turtles, and other local wildlife. Bring your binoculars and keep your eyes open as you paddle through this scenic Florida destination!nnImportant Information:nnMust be 18+ years old to book and a photo ID is required for each renter 18+ (copies are not accepted).nMinors must have a parent or legal guardian present. Children must be 14+ years old to ride in a kayak with adult supervision.nChildren under 6 years old are not permitted in kayaks.nGuests must remain in the vessel with life jackets worn and fastened at all times.nRentals must stay between St. Johns River green channel markers 69 and 77.nNo watercraft are permitted in the spring run.nLate arrivals more than 30 minutes past the reservation time may result in cancellation and reassignment of vessels.nAlcohol and pets are not permitted on vessels or within the State Park.nnWhat to Bring:nPhoto IDnWaternSunscreennHatnWaterproof dry bag (recommended for phones and personal belongings)nBinoculars (great for birdwatching!)nnPaddle, explore, and make unforgettable memories while discovering the natural beauty of Hontoon Island from the water!

- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present in the party. Children must be 14+ yrs old to be in a single kayak or paddleboard with adult supervision
- For children weighing less than 30 lbs., you are required to provide your own (USCG) Coast Guard approved life jacket.
- Children less than 6 yrs old are not allowed to be in a kayak however may be in a canoe with an adult.
- Alcohol may not be brought into the State Park or onto our vessels. We reserve the right to inspect coolers prior to departure.
